Fire protection sleeve

Protecta® FR Collar consists of two parts coated, round steel casing, designed for mounting around plastic pipes (PVC-U, PVC-C, PE, LDPE, MDPE, HDPE, ABS, SAN + PVC); plastic tube bundles with or without cables; cable bundles. The cuffs contain safe and simple installation elements.

The cuff contains a graphite-based material that reacts to heat; in the event of a fire, it foams and fills the hole created by the molten plastic through the passage. It is installed on the outer surface of the wall or floor on one or both sides.

Properties

  • First-class fast-foaming patented graphite material with globally recognized certification

  • Approved sizes of plastic pipes range from the smallest available pipes to Ø 400 mm, each group with a wide range of pipe wall thicknesses
  • The cuffs are available in two different heights for different fire ratings to maximize cost efficiency
  • Smaller pipes can be fitted into larger sleeves, which is advantageous for accommodating pipes that are installed at an angle, or if the hole around the pipe is too large.
