Fire protection coating
Protecta® FR Coating is an ablative sealing coating designed to strengthen, seal and protect mineral fibers from fire. It is based on a durable polymer system with inert fillers, non-halogenated flame retardants and a preservative against microbial contamination.
Coating applied to mineral fibers is classified for all types of structures with or without penetrations. Suitable for most surfaces, including concrete, bricks, masonry, steel, wood, plaster, glass, plastic and most non-porous surfaces.
Properties
- The product is not toxic; is environmentally friendly and user-friendly
- Permanent flexibility - adaptation to material movements in case of fire and minor movements of the structure in which the product is used
- Suitable for most surfaces, including concrete, brick, masonry, steel, wood, plaster, glass, plastic and most non-porous surfaces
- It can be used in unlimited lengths in walls up to 1200 mm high and in floors with widths up to 120 mm
- It can be applied to plasterboard walls without frames around the openings
- Halogen-free and with added fungicides
- After complete curing, the coated insulation is water and frost resistant
Soundproofing evaluation
- Rw 55 dB - Protecta® FR Coating 1 mm WFT on both sides at least 50 mm thick stone wool with a density of at least 160 kg / m3
Fire assessment
- Up to 180 minutes, depending on the application
